I was looking for pictures of old style NBA basket stanchions .and I found this ....

Wow. Tremendous leap and reach.

...the ball-boy(me)(not fond of the title...duties include shagging balls and wiping sweat. Sounds like a Pete Townshend research project.)would sit on the padding right behind the ref in this photo.

Bernard King running the wing on the break was spectacular from that vantage point. I learned many foul words as a 10-year-old kid down there, but I also learned how professionals do business.

Oh yeah Purvis. He once gave me a pair of his shoes.
